Summer FINALLY !!

My summer plans ! Well I'm going to be looking for a job so I can have money to go shopping with this summer. My Grandpa, which we call Poppy, he is going to take me and my sister and two other cousins camping and fishing. We love going camping and fishing, because mainly the swimming and fire's we have.(: Also I'm going to READ !!! Which now I love to do during my spare time. I will do a lot of working out and going swimming like crazy, because I want that tan I had when this school year started. And pretty much relax this summer and hopefully it goes by quick. At the end of the summer and plus a month later I will be 18 FINALLY !!!

My Skills ☺

To keep my reading skills up over the summer I will at least read an hour or two a day. When I start working hopefully soon, I can read during my breaks. I wanna keep reading so I can come back and be able to pass all my test and be able to do the GED tests. This whole time I have been here I have been reading a lot and keeping up with it so I think I will be able to keep up with reading with no problem ☺ The way I'm gonna get all my reading in for the summer and more is I will go to the library as much as possible. My goal for the summer is to read at least 5 books starting this month and continuing. ((:

Creative Storyy !!

There was a loud crash and suddenly out of nowhere there was a girl, who no one had ever met in their life. This girl had a thing inside her that no one knew of and that was she could appear out of nowhere. Some people never noticed that she would appear, but some people did like when she first made a loud crashing sound. The people around her would ask her questions, ask her where she is from, and where her parents are. This girl wasn't so little from what they thought, she actually was older not really old but in her twenties. After they started asking questions about everything she was gone. This girl never really answered the questions because she didn't know where her parents were or where she was from. Every time she would make a crash landing and be loud about it, more and more people noticed she was new.

Who Do I Consider Family !?!?

Family to me means you're there for them and you can trust them. My family is my Best friends. I only seem to trust them right now. They aren't really related to my family because they don't know them and I don't think they will know them. These people I call my best friends are always there for me and they have had my back from the start. I can trust them with anything and everything, and when I need something or help they're there for me. That's my real family that I have.

Crazy Weather !!

I honestly never could think someone or thousands of people could go through something so horrible. Japan was the first to get the bad weather then it started with earthquakes, floods, and then tornados. I feel so bad for the people in Joplin, Missouri because 2/3 of Joplin were destroyed. Joplin's deadliest twister in 60 years killed 117 people. Surprisingly people still had hope that they could get their lives back together once all this had happen. Over 2,000 buildings were destroyed including the St. John's Regional Medical Center from what people had seen or said. They all say to be able to replace all the damage, it would be $ 3 billion dollars.

My PerrrrrrrFect Day:D

My Perfect day would be hanging out with my three main best friends, Erica, Makayla, and Janessa. The way my day would be perfect is we would hangout all day of course, and go get either Subway or Tacobell, yummy! Then either walk to a couple parks and take a ton of pictures so we can keep memories. While were doing all this we are in either basketball shorts or sweat pants, which to me is being lazy and not caring what we look like. By ending that day we would play games on the Wii or watch movies and veg out for the rest of my perrrrrrfect day.

My interesting weekend!!

My weekend is going to be very interesting and full of fun. Today of course I'll  go to school and then hangout with my best friend and be lazy till around 4:00pm. We have to get ready for the dance club we go to with friends. After the dance we are going to go stay the night at a friends house for the weekend. Saturday is the interesting and full of fun day. We are gonna be little kids again and go to the park and go get subway. On Saturday night we are going midnight bowling with a bunch of friends. Sunday is gonna be our lazy day because we will be so tired from the two nights before.

Life Changing

The only thing I would change in my life would be to stop being a big baby and making my mom do everything for me. Why? Because I can't seem to do things on my own just yet and I'm only 17. I make her do everything; she does my laundry, she makes me food, buys me things, and when I'm sick she takes care of me. I honestly can say I would wanna change that about my life and not have to depend on my mom the rest of my life.

Something Cool

The thing that I got that I thought was so cool was my new phone, the old Black Berry. My Best Friend had got it for me because I told her that I was trying to find a new phone. I was happy I had got a new phone because I was getting tired of my chocolate touch. When I first got the Black Berry I was like yeah! I got a new phone. Well, it took me a little getting use to. I liked messing around with it and trying new things on the phone but it got boring real quick. I mean I loved that I got a new phone, but I didn't realize that it would get so old so quick.

Catch up!

On Thursday with the sub, it was alright it seemed class went by faster than usual. We did the blog, read and did packets. For group we looked at some video's about what happened in Japan and did a worksheet. On Friday I don't know what happened I wasn't here for that day.

Current Events

I'm never reading the news paper or looking at the news, so no I'm not keeping up with the current events happening. It brings no interest to me, I mean when my mom or grandpa is looking at the news I watch but not as long as they do. Yes I did hear about Osama's death, I heard it from facebook and people around town talking about it.

GIRL ACTS OUT THE BIBLE!

Kit Tyler who is age 16 and her cousin Mercy Woods age 15, were both involved in acting out a part of the Bible to young children. Mercy had already been teaching before Kit showed up to Wethersfield. When Kit  first showed up,  from her family's view she was very lazy girl and didn't know what to do while being there.  Mercy brought Kit along to start working at a school nearby in Wethersfield so she could get her experience in of working, but that didn't work out to well in the starting. Kit was the type that did her own thing and didn't mind anything what people said to her or the way they looked either. This young girl just wanted to make the children's day fun during school, so she tried acting out something from the Bible and made the worst mistake by doing an act from the Bible. The puritans and people that worked around her had been very upset with her and didn't allow her to come back and work. Her acting out a part of the Bible showed them that she had no respect towards the children or them. The townspeople of Wethersfield didn't mess around with playing or disobeying things like the Bible. Kit Tyler, tried her best to show them all that she could do better, and she hoped for that second chance.

when- She started to work at the school after a week she had been there with her uncle and aunt. Her uncle wanted her to be working and getting use to doing things around the house and starting real work.    
where- Kit started to teach with her cousin Mercy at the near by school in Wethersfield, her uncle said she has to do something to help out the family and get use to what the girls have to do
why- She wanted to make the children's day less boring and to have them enjoy they're day more and have fun. 
how- The towns people and the Principal of the school she worked at thought she was a let down and they didn't want her to work anymore, They all thought it was disrespectful and rude to play out a part of the Bible. The parents didn't allow their children to go to school tell Kit was gone. Kit's aunt and uncle were even more upset because they are the type that stick to reading and going to church. They aren't the type that mess around with that they stick to the rules.

Lesson's Learned

In this book, the main point is that you don't judge before meeting someone or getting to know them first. From people in the book they judged Kit because she did things differently and she didn't notice things were different from where she came from. Kit and Hannah were the two main different people that did things differently and didn't mind what people thought about it. If there is one lesson I could learn from this story it would be not to be disrespectful and judge people I have not met and maybe get to know them.

Hannah's escape

After Kit got Hannah away from the big mob and got her on the ship with Nat she just got home and not even after a few minutes later people showed up. They wanted to take Kit away. The towns people wanted to lock Kit up because they already thought that she was a witch, and thought she was even more now. Kit's uncle tried telling the towns people to blame him for her mistakes.

Final Project!

4.)Choose an event from the book and write a newspaper article as if you were a journalist in that time period. Remember journalists always include who, what, when, where, why, and how!

This is the one I'm thinking of doing the newspaper article, because it  seems easier to me and not so complicated. I think writing the newspaper article to me would give more information about what has been going on in the story and its easier to me.

News!

Things that have been happening to some people are they have been crossing highways to kill them selves. This woman, who is not identified, at the scene crossed Highway 99E just south of Wood burn, Oregon and died instantly. When this happened was 8:30 pm on Saturday when she had gotten hit. The way it happened was this older guy had to press down hard on his breaks to stop before he had hit a car in front of him that had to press even more on his breaks before he would hit the woman crossing the high way. The second car didn't stop fast enough and he hit the first car and woman. The medical helicopter reported to scene and but by the time they had gotten there the woman who was running across the highway was already dead. The way I had found this out I went on to statesman journal.com. I had found more but this one had caught my eye more than the others.

Weekend!!!((:

This weekend is gonna be an amazing weekend for me. Why? Because I'm going to a dance club with my best friend. But today is a busy day, I'm getting my new phone, getting a cute new outfit, and hanging out with my best friend all day. Then we are heading to the dance club and gonna dance all night. Tomorrow I really don't know what I'm doing. Its an as you go day. Sunday, I'm sleeping in and then opening up my Easter basket. Then probably gonna go have a big dinner with my family. Yes I know I'm a little to old to have an Easter basket, but I'm a kid at heart. And I always will be even if I'm in my 40's.(:

My life Over Your's

I am the type of person who will be there for my friends. I will only help my real friends who have been there for me and I know will be there for me. If my true friends needed me to be there for them or needed my help I would. Even if it put my life in danger I would because I know they would have my back in the end. My friends that have been there for me from the start are the ones I would be there for. Would I help a stranger? It depends on what they need help with, because I wouldn't be able to trust them. They could have a weapon that could put me in danger or they could be really sick and I would get it, and it could hurt me more than them.

School Motivation

    When i first started in high school at sprague, i was scared and nervous because it was such a big school to go to for the first time. My 9th grade year i thought it was the most amazing thing and amazing place to be. By 11th grade to me the teachers didn't seem to care or want to motivate me. Somethings teachers could do is show the students is that they care, and not just throw the work in they're face. To me teachers at my old school only wanted to be there for the money.
   Ways that would have helped me were if the teachers would have done one on one teaching. Some people like me, are the type that need that teaching or I would never be able to learn or work. At my new school they show they want to help students by motivating them to reach their full potential in life.
     People I went to school with at sprague saw and notice that teachers never wanted to prove they wanted to award us for trying, they just showed for the money. My mom is the type were if her child isn't getting her education the right way she will say something or do something about it. Here at my new school I actually want to show up for class each day, and do my work. My new teachers show me more support and they push me more to getting my goal.
